Emily Giesler

About Me

A professional creative, I have worked as a graphic and web designer, front-end developer, creative director, associate art director, and project manager. My last position was the Creative Director at Tentacle Advisors and Brand Compass where I spent 12 years. In this position, I did everything from designing and developing websites for our clients, producing and posting social media content, and creating billboards, brochures, and other print designs. I have managed and mentored designers, worked alongside operations — at times jumping in and setting ad parameters myself, and collaborated with leadership frequently.

I am no stranger to freelance work.  I have designed and developed web pages for decor companies, cabling technology companies, and more.

Prior to Tentacle, I worked at Karmaloop providing fashion directed graphics for their website and as an imaging contractor at Rue La La.

As a graduate of Boston University, Center for Digital Imaging Arts, my skills developed by designing for various marketing campaigns, training with multimedia graphics, and designing and coding multiple webpages for weekly projects. As an alumni of University of Massachusetts Amherst, my major in English, minor in creative writing, has come in handy in the marketing field throughout the years.

In my day to day life, I have no trouble finding creative outlets whether I’m painting, playing the piano, or concocting new recipes in the kitchen, I like to stay busy. As a mother of a craft-driven toddler, I am constantly coming up with new art projects for us to create together.
